Word up! On a Mac use Pages or Text Edit instead of Microsoft Word.

Occasionally, when content is copied from Microsoft Word, the formatting is transferred as well which overwrites the template, adds non-standard code and causes all sorts of unpleasant problems both for the person making the changes and the person receiving the email. To avoid this, all you need to do is copy the original content into Pages or TextEdit first, and then copy and paste from there into the EMS editor.

A second option is to copy your content from Word and then paste into the e-newsletter using the “Paste Plain Text” button:    Entering your content into the dialogue box that appears when you click this link will remove the formatting.
